Cantaloupe Radio Product Line Transition

After years of developing Bluetooth retrofit solutions for vintage automotive radios, the Cantaloupe Radio product line has transitioned to our longtime service partner, OEM HiFi.

OEM HiFi has worked closely with the product line for years and will continue sales, customer support, warranty service, manufacturing, and future product development moving forward. During the transition period, we will continue working closely with OEM HiFi to help ensure seamless continuity in manufacturing, testing, servicing, and product knowledge transfer.

Support & Warranty Information

All existing product warranties will continue to be honored by OEM HiFi, including warranty claims arising from products purchased prior to the transition.

For customer convenience, emails sent to support@cantalouperadio.com will continue to be received and will now forward directly to the OEM HiFi support team at support@oemhifi.com.

OEM HiFi will continue to provide both pre-sale and post-sale support for all Cantaloupe Radio products, including installation guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and warranty service.

Existing Products

Existing products will continue to be sold under the Cantaloupe Radio brand through OEM HiFi. Documentation, service knowledge, and product support history have all transitioned alongside the product line to help ensure continuity for existing and future customers.

Future of the RS-1 Platform

The RS-1 platform was not included in the transition to OEM HiFi and will continue as an independent development effort.

Originally developed as a compact and extensible Bluetooth retrofit architecture, RS-1 was designed to support a wide range of vintage automotive radios through software extensions.

The long-term goal for the platform is to eventually release RS-1 as an open-source development platform for the vintage radio community, allowing additional radio integrations and functionality to be developed openly over time. Additional details will be shared as that effort progresses.
