Retrofit System 1, or RS-1, is a first-of-its-kind upgrade that adds high-quality Bluetooth audio streaming to a growing number of vintage car radios — without altering their original appearance or functionality.

RS-1 was designed around five key goals:

• Retain all original sources — cassette, AM, FM, and others continue to work

Installation Included

This package includes professional mail-in installation of RS-1 into your radio at our facility. Return shipping to the address provided at checkout is also included.

After checkout, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how and where to send your radio.

We plan to offer RS-1 as a DIY kit in the future, once installation instructions have matured. For now, installation is available only through our mail-in service.

Radio Requirements

Your radio must meet the following conditions for installation:

• Powers on normally

• Has a valid security code (you must provide it)

• Produces clean audio — no speaker sound issues

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I still need the factory security code to use the radio after installation?
A: Yes. RS-1 does not bypass or disable the factory security system. You must provide the correct code when sending in your radio, and you'll still need it to unlock the unit after installation.

Q: Do the factory bass, treble, fader, and balance controls continue to work?
A: Yes. These factory controls remain accessible using the original means, and the settings are applied to all audio sources (original and Bluetooth).
